Elisa Cucinelli (she/they) is a French-italian multidisciplinary artist and Filmmaker.

She has a wealth of experience in multimedia production, having worked across the creative and documentary fields, her artistic mission revolves around surprising her audience and guiding them off the beaten path. She accomplishes this by blending mediums, often incorporating hand-drawn animation and stop-motion techniques, with a particular emphasis on vivid colors and textures.

Elisa has directed two short documentaries, Fidan and Meranti’s Eye, and is currently working on two new projects: Paragami, a documentary on female monastics in the Theravāda Buddhist tradition in Southeast Asia, and Single Paths, which follows the lives of single mothers in Berlin. In their documentary practice, Elisa gravitates toward intimate portraits and social subjects, while their experimental and music video work approaches environmental themes through metaphor and instinctual associations of image and sound.

This sensibility extends into their musical practice: as CuCiCuCi, Elisa approaches DJ sets as collages, layering fragments of life, field recordings from their film work, spoken word, and luminous ambient textures to create immersive, ethereal soundscapes. Elisa is also the founder of WEICH, an ambient event series rooted in sound exploration that has grown into a platform for interdisciplinary exchange, fostering inclusion and diversity within Berlin’s queer scene. Through both film and sound, Elisa invites audiences into spaces where memory and imagination blur, opening pathways for deeper emotional and sensory experiences.
